Chicken Satay is a dish featured in an webisode Gabi's Grill.
8-10 bamboo skewers
1 cup plain yogurt
1 clove garlic, minced
1 small piece ginger, minced
1 small bunch cilantro, chopped finely
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into tenders
oil for brushing grill pan, if using
Place skewers in a bowl or pan filled with water. Soak for 10-15 minutes. Remove from water and pat dry.
Combine yogurt, garlic, ginger, cilantro and soy sauce in a large bowl. Stir to incorporate. Add chicken tenders, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes (up to 1 day). Remove chicken tenders from marinade and gently push one chicken tender onto the top of each skewer, so they look like lollipops.
Heat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. (Brush lightly with oil, if using grill pan). Grill skewers, working in batches for 3-4 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
